Features

Lock Your Data lets you automatically back-up files on a monthly, weekly, daily, or even hourly basis.  Our backups are designed to use lossless compression to minimize bandwidth usage and will even backup open documents while you work.  If your connection is interrupted during a backup, Lock Your Data will pick back up again where it left off. Accidentally deleted a report? No problem!  Lock Your Data keeps all your documents backed up in the cloud even if you have deleted them from your computer or disconnected your external hard drive. There are no limits on document size, type, or quantity.

Lock Your Data can automatically backup multiple devices, including

  • Windows 10
  • Windows Server 2016 & up
  • Mac OS X 10.6 and up
  • External Storage Devices (USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt, eSATA)
  • Linux (Debian and RPM Distributions) supported on our Gold Package

Security

Lock Your Data uses the same encryption technologies employed by banking and the military.  Your data is encrypted using 256-bit AES before being transferred to the cloud.  Data is then transferred to and from the cloud via a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection.  Upon arrival in the cloud your data is encrypted at rest with 256-bit AES encryption.  Each user is protected with a unique key.

Our Silver Package offers UltraSafe MAX, which allows users to provide their own key for added security.  UltraSafe MAX keys are never stored on the cloud and cannot even be accessed by Lock Your Data.  (Note to UltraSafe MAX customers:  Because Lock Your Data cannot access your key, if your password is lost your data will be unrecoverable.)
